Associations that have an interest in working alongside ACC Accreditation Services include:
American Association of Heart Failure Nurses
The American Association of Heart Failure Nurses (AAHFN) is a specialty organization dedicated to advancing nursing education, clinical practice and research to improve heart failure patient outcomes. Heart failure is our exclusive interest and passion. Our goal is to set the standards for heart failure nursing care.
We unite the full spectrum of nurses and other health professionals interested in heart failure. We serve as the interface for sharing ideas, translating research findings into practice and setting priorities for the future. We welcome and value all professionals involved in heart failure care. We focus on patients across all environments of care from the hospital, to the clinic, to home.
American Heart Association
Collaboration: Two Great Organizations One Goal: Improving Quality of Life
The Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and the American Heart Association have a shared vision of improved consistency in the treatment of patients with a ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). SCPC and AHA jointly launched the Mission: Lifelin® STEMI Accreditation program. This alliance changes the way STEMI patients are reperfused by breaking down the silos that exist between care providers. This is accomplished by bringing together physicians, nurses, emergency medical service providers, and hospital teams to refine and eliminate barriers that prevent the best clinical outcomes.
